The City of Ithaca in partnership with The Tem Skate Fund is working on redesign of the existing Skate Park at the Wood Street Park. All interested community members are invited to attend the first skate park design kick-off meeting. Grindline Skateparks Inc. will be conducting the open house at the Sciencecenter, located at 601 First Street on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 7 – 9 PM. A short video and powerpoint presentation will introduce Grindline, and the design process to the community and explain how to get involved. Grindline will conduct a design conversation with the community to identify what types of elements and features to include in the skatepark. The City of Ithaca and the Tem Skate Fund are excited about this opportunity to collect input from community members and begin the design process. Grindline Skateparks is a multi-talented team of Skateboard park designers, concrete craftsmen, construction managers and professional skateboarders dedicated to producing creative solutions to the challenges facing present and future skatepark facilities.
