Growing up in the Houston area, Kevin Lane found skateboarding at age 12, sparking a lifelong obsession with concrete terrain and the craft behind it. Immersed in Texas’s DIY skate culture, he developed an intuitive understanding of transitions early on.
Kevin entered the skatepark construction world professionally in the late 2000s and spent three years honing his skills before joining Grindline Skateparks in 2013. His dedication, technical precision, and strong leadership skills quickly set him apart. By 2015, he rose to the role of Foreman, where he has led crews across the country, most notably guiding the construction of some of the finest parks in Colorado and throughout the Mountain West.
With more than a decade at Grindline, Kevin is widely respected for his craftsmanship in bowl and transition work, his ability to solve complex field challenges, and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of builders. He continues to push both himself and the boundaries of skatepark design and construction, driven by the same love of skateboarding that first set him on this path.
