BENNINGTON SKATEPARK
12,285 SQ FT
Completed in July 2025, the Bennington Skatepark is a cast-in-place concrete facility designed and built by Grindline in partnership with the Town of Bennington and the local skate community. The park establishes a permanent home for skateboarding in southern Vermont, blending modern transition terrain with thoughtfully integrated street features.
The layout reflects Grindline’s Organic Flow methodology, encouraging continuous movement and intuitive line choice throughout the park. A large flow bowl with a mini ramp section, spine, and supporting street elements creates a cohesive environment that accommodates all skill levels, allowing beginners to build confidence while giving advanced riders space for creative, high-speed lines.
A defining feature is the square bowl, built as a tribute to Bennington’s skateboarding history. Inspired by the 1990s Cutting Edge skatepark and modeled after Santa Monica Dogtown Dog Bowl, the bowl honors a time when transition terrain was rare on the East Coast and the original site became a destination for regional skaters.
By weaving local heritage into a modern, durable design, the park carries forward Bennington’s skateboarding legacy while providing an inclusive public space in the heart of downtown.
